About this collection

Handmade orchids, since 1980

Foamflora makes handmade foam orchids in Bangkok, sold wholesale worldwide since 1980. Orchids sit slightly apart from the hula flowers we are known for: where plumeria and tiare read as classic island, an orchid reads as luxury — which is why lei makers, resort boutiques and bridal florists keep them in stock. Every design is hand-assembled from foam in our family’s workshop, in colors drawn from the living flower — the ruffled Cattleya lip, the natural markings of a Cymbidium — but it never wilts or bruises in transit.

The collection covers five orchid types across 18 designs, from a 3.5 cm Cattleya accent to a 16 cm statement bloom, including nature-collection and shell-center finishes. Cymbidium carries the natural markings of the living flower; Cattleya and Phalaenopsis are the large, sculptural blooms for bridal and stage; Dendrobium and Vanda work as filler and color contrast. All designs are made to order — minimum 100 pieces per design, 20 per color — and ship worldwide.

Quick answers

Orchid questions, answered

Are Foamflora orchids real flowers?

No — each orchid is hand-assembled from foam petals, in colors drawn from the living flower to capture its texture and shading. Unlike a fresh orchid, it never wilts or bruises, keeps its shape in heat and humidity, and holds up to years of wear.

Which orchid should I choose?

It depends on the look you want. Cattleya and Phalaenopsis are the large, open blooms — stage and statement pieces, in shades from natural to exotic. Cymbidium is the most natural-looking, with the markings of the real flower. Dendrobium and Vanda work as filler and color accents in a mixed piece. First-time orchid buyers usually start with one Cattleya and one Cymbidium.

What is the minimum order?

100 pieces per design, with at least 20 pieces per color. Checkout places no payment — we email your full quote, including shipping, within 1 business day.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes — we ship from Bangkok to customers worldwide, including the USA, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
